Andre Ludwig

Vice President, Cyber Solutions

As Vice President of Cyber Solutions, Mr. Ludwig is responsible for leading QOMPLX’s activities in the cybersecurity market, including customer requirements, product requirements, functionality definition, feature innovation, and future development priorities.

Prior to joining QOMPLX, Mr. Ludwig served as Senior Director, Cyber Security Machine Learning (CyberML) at Capital One. He is also a Visiting Fellow at the National Security Institute at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School.

Mr. Ludwig previously served as CEO of the Honeynet Project and CTO of the Global Cyber Alliance (GCA). During his tenure at GCA, Andre conceptualized, built, and launched quad9.com, the industry’s first malicious domain identification/validation service.

Andre has an extensive background in various areas of cyber security, including security engineering, incident response, reverse engineering, exploit detection and analysis, distributed systems design for custom network sensing, and cutting-edge defensive R&D. He is an expert consultant in threat intelligence, advanced attack detection techniques, malware analysis, and the application of distributed systems and machine learning to network defense and insider threat detection.

Andre was one of the founders of the world’s first large-scale malware interdiction effort (Conficker Working Group), chronicled in Mark Bowden’s book Worm: The First Digital World War. He also assisted Microsoft’s Digital Crimes Unit with various malware takedown efforts over the last ten years. Andre has led two major efforts to globally interdict FBI-attributed nation state actors in Operation SMN and Operation Blockbuster, both of which have been referenced in global news reports.
